In 2008, Bevlyn released a 6-track EP album “Lonely Afternoon” which won the ‘Best Independent Album’ award at Singapore Entertainment Awards 2009. Her ability to sing in English, Mandarin, French, Japanese, Spanish and Hokkien has won her fans in Southeast Asia, Taiwan, China, Japan, France, and the United States.

Notably, Bevlyn’s French album “Bistro Affair” sees her as possibly the only Singaporean singer to have released a full album of French jazz chansons, cementing her status as a versatile singer-songwriter. The album charted top 3 (HMV) in Malaysia, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

The voice behind “Little Nyonya”‘s 《小娘惹》closing theme song “Keep Warm”《保温》 also represented Singapore in the HK Pop-Asian Music Festival 2012 in Hong Kong.

Now back to her indie roots, her 2013 indie album release 《我认识过的人》 (The People I’ve Known) , a 11-track album of self-penned originals, won rave reviews and received strong media support. The title track entered nomination for “Best Local Lyrics” at the upcoming Singapore Hits Awards (Y.E.S.933). She was also invited to pen the theme song ‘Beautiful Purpose‘ for Miss World Singapore 2013.

Bevlyn is also the founder of A Little Dream since 2002, and a nominee of Singapore 9, a group recognised for making contributions to Singapore’s artistic, cultural and entertainment landscape.

With a husky voice not easily forgotten, Deborah has built up a wide repertoire ranging from English Top 40’s, Pop, Rock, Jazz to Oldies since 2013, and in recent years also ventured into MandoPop. She was mentored under some of Singapore’s finest at Esplanade’s Mosaic Jazz Fellows Programme in 2012. With performing experiences at countless bar gigs, events, and weddings, she even represented the A Capella Society at Vocal Asia Fest 2015.
