When love strikes, it can be anywhere in the world!
Gerardo hails from Hawaii, and he and Lentina met each other when they attended the same college, and fell in love with each other two and a half years ago.
It was my first time performing at The Arches, and the two-level bungalow offers an intimate setting for 8 tables of guests. The place was given a spirited lease of life with the decoration of bright pink and orange flowers and ribbons.

I found out later that though Azalea by Purple Sage was the creative brain behind the decoration, the colour theme was come up none other by the bride herself!
Full credit must be given to Lentina for making the wedding celebration so unique and special – from theme conception and colours to the funky cake, wedding favours (one of which was from Sweet Thots), and even right down to the schedule of events! The spirited bride even coordinated her family members to turn up in matching Hawaiian attire…

The first level was used as reception, which was where the cake-cutting ceremony and the speech by the couple took place. In place of the champagne-pouring ceremony, the couple fed each other a mouthful of the cake (also bright pink and orange)! How’s that for a change!
Lentina wanted her wedding day to be fun, and she took a lot of effort to come up with interesting ideas. The first was to invite all the unmarried girlfriends to the outdoor holding area before she turned around and tossed her flower bouquet backwards. There was no wrestling or violence of any sort, and the bouquet landed almost fatefully onto a lucky lady!
The other interesting idea was to give away the beautiful flower centerpiece (also by Azalea by Purple Sage) on each table to the person with his/her birthday closest to 29 Oct. Perhaps it was coincidence or gentleman behaviour at work, I saw a handful of ladies walking away with the beautiful flowers at the end of the celebration!
If you want to lessen the load on your big day, you might want to consider getting a wedding planner. For Lentina’s case, Wedding Concierge certainly made things a breeze that day!
