Hsin Yeow’s thoughts: Kawaii Ne!

The kawaii couple

I don’t know why, but I can’t help but smile everytime I read Hikaru’s e-mail:

“Hi Hsin Yeow

Our full names are Hikaru Fujishima and Moe Moe Aung. I am half-Japanese while my wife is Burmese. Fujishima is my surname whereas she has no surname. It is common for Burmese to have no surname. You can call us Hikaru and Moe Moe.
We are both Singapore Citizens now. :-)”

Hikaru and Moe Moe solemnised their marriage in February last year. Hence, the wedding dinner is “more of a celebration than an actual customary marriage.”

And what a celebration it was!

The band connected with the audience really well, and we received enthusiastic applause after every song.

It was also clear to us that Hikaru and Moe Moe were very much in love. Even their video montage made us tear up. Sigh, we’re a bunch of softies.

It was one of those magical evenings when everything was perfect.

P.S. I asked Hikaru and Moe Moe if their wedding would have some Japanese or Burmese elements, but they wanted it to be Uniquely Singaporean, right down to the traditional yum seng ceremony! It was a blast!

It was a posed shot suggested by the photographer. I was still singing when we shook their hands!

Compliments from Hikaru:

A Little Dream provided a special touch to our wedding dinner with their wonderful singing and music. Many of our guests were pleasantly surprised by the live entertainment they provided. Besides the music performance, Hsin Yeow acted as an emcee and did a superb job. It will be a great night to remember for years to come.

Thank you very much, A Little Dream! 🙂
