Hsin Yeow’s thoughts: Angels Brought Me Here

While waiting for the banquet to begin, Casie, the beautiful bride, turned to Hui Bing and said, “I almost cried when I heard you sing! Thank you!”
That moment was immensely satisfying for me and the band, because we knew that we touched the hearts of the couple on their wedding day. It made all the preparation and rehearsals before the event worthwhile.
And it was such a fantastic experience to sing for Peter and Casie, because they really appreciated our performance, clapping enthusiastically and smiling at us the whole time. They were also excellent hosts, and arranged for us to have a buffet dinner at Window on The Park before we began.
It was my first performance at the Holiday Inn Parkview, and I have to say that the way they presented the first course was most unique. The first part was pretty standard: at the start of Michael Bublé’s Sway, the wait staff entered the ballroom carrying trays of food and lined up at each table.
What happened next was completely unexpected: the chef himself entered the ballroom, boogieing to the music! If he wasn’t carrying a plate of food himself, I swore he’d have danced the Bhangra. Being of, erm, generous proportions, he milked it for all its worth, rubbing his belly, smacking his lips and shaking his bon-bon all at once!

From This Moment (First March-In), 爱很简单 (Love Is Simple), A Love That Will Last, She, 天天夜夜 (Day and Night), 就是爱你 (Just Loving You), Lost In Your Eyes, The Way You Look Tonight, Quando Quando Quando, Angels Brought Me Here, Come What May, 月亮代表我的心 (The Moon Represents My Heart) (Second March-In)
If you have always dreamed of marching into the ballroom to a certain song (in Casie’s case, it was From This Moment), do get a live band to perform it!
Compliments from Peter and Casie:
“I didn’t know you have friends who can sing so well!”
That’s what most of our guests commented. Thanks so much for the great performance! A pity that we only get to listen 4 songs… Who knows we might see you again in our friends’ wedding!
The ambience was soothed by your singing… & really.. I was so touched by u guys’ singing.. Thanks for learning the 2 beautiful songs especially 就是爱你 (Just Loving You)!!
And thanks for removing the popper ribbons on my hair.. only knew it when I watched the video.. so sweet 🙂 How we wish we were the guests…. hee ..!
(Peter wished he could have chatted with u guys during your dinner *wink*)
