Hui Bing’s Thoughts – Angels Brought Me Here

I always like to know how couples meet, how they felt about each other in that instance, how they have decided to progress from friends to being a couple, and subsequently, how they make that ultimate decision to tie the knot. It is quite intriguing knowing how the lines between each stage are laid out and overcome, knowing that fate plays an important part.

As for Esther and Tze Yee, they met in the most unromantic way (I thought!) – at a workshop where they were assigned to the same small group.  It was a course which Tze Yee signed up randomly to complete his post-graduate studies. They wouldn’t have met if not for this, cos Esther and Tze Yee stay at opposite ends of the island. It started with an sms conversation, a first date and then the next couple of lines or stages, went by smoothly.

I also liked the fact that Esther and Tze Yee had arranged for friends to go up onstage to give a speech. Friends’ speeches are quite meaningful – cos they are actually sharing a particular side of the bride or groom at that chapter in their lives, which may be unknown to the rest.  As for Esther and Tze Yee, they have gotten not one, but two of their friends up on stage. It was specially moving for Esther who gave her friend a huge hug after the speech.

The three of us were elated to be at the wedding celebration of these two very special people. The guests applauded after every song, which was really encouraging.  All the best Esther and Tze Yee!

It really was a dream come true to have you guys at our wedding!  I heard you guys at a wedding I attended years back and I really wanted to have you guys at mine.

By God’s grace, I did!  Our march-in song was so perfect our friends thought it was a CD!
