Ariel’s thoughts: 最浪漫的事 (The Most Romantic Thing)
I learnt a new word that day – MEGU, which means blessings in Japanese. Interestingly, MEGU is also written as 美果 in Chinese characters, which signifies a beautiful and memorable beginning and closure to any event.
So this being my first time performing at MEGU Event Hall, I did some research on the event venue and was delighted to find that it had elaborate and luxurious furnishing. For instance, guests could lounge around at the sofa area or soak in the beautiful night scenery of Marina Bay.
Junxiong and I, together with the talented Ian, enjoyed performing the wide repertoire of Chinese, Cantonese and English songs that the newly-weds, Yuh Huei and Siaw Yen, had specially chosen for their wedding guests.

It was clear that the couple made the right call as many guests responded favourably to our rendition of Chinese evergreens, such as 甜蜜蜜 (Honey Sweet), 月亮代表我的心 (The Moon Represents My Heart), 给我一个吻 (Give Me A Kiss), and 但愿人长久 (May All Live Well And Long).
I was also pleasantly surprised that they had requested for the band to sing 最浪漫的事 (The Most Romantic Thing) during the couple’s first march-in ceremony. The timeless nature of the lyrics is probably also a testament of the couple’s desire to pursue a lifetime of bliss with each other, even to the point of growing old together:
就是和你一起慢慢变老
直到我们老的哪儿也去不了
你还依然把我当成手心里的宝
which is to slowly grow old with you
until we are too old to go anyway
you still treat me like a treasure in the palm of your hand)
Probably already a growing trend at local weddings here, the wedding photographer constantly updated guests with footages and photos of the guests at the dinner by beaming them onto the projector screen or simply printing out namecard-sized photos for specific guests. The band of course were quietly pleased that we looked really good in the photos.
We cannot help but express our congratulations and appreciation to Yuh Huei and Siaw Yen for inviting us to perform at their wedding dinner. Also, many thanks to the dedicated and professional banquet staff at MEGU Event Hall as they have put in alot of effort to accommodate our presence and attended to all our needs.

Hello Hsin Yeow,
So sorry for the late reply. Herewith the photos of the wedding.
We all enjoyed the music very much. One of my cousins thought that Megu played a CD. And he ran over to check you guys!
Thanks again for the lovely evening! Keep on going!
