Jeremy’s Thoughts: 爱是永恒 (Love Is Eternal)
1.1.11 . A date you will never come across again unless u survive another millennium. A very special day for Clarence and Joanne whom I believe this occasion will stay in their hearts and minds for many years to come.
Highlight of the evening for me has to be the march in of the couple. With guards of honour preparing the way for the couple to arrive, it made the event even more majestic and special. Guess Clarence must have been a high ranking officer. Way to go. =). Kinda cute seeing the guards stopping them 2-3 times before Clarence answered the Emcee’s questions correctly regarding his love for his lovely bride.
I’m sure the couple are fans of canto pop because songs such as 爱是永恒, 你的名字我的姓氏 and 追 were requested. Very big songs well suited for the occasion of such magnitude for Clarence and Joanne. You can feel the difference in the reception of the crowd and especially the couple after the Cantonese songs were sung.
Everything was done in a very orderly fashion and very efficiently, which was what got my attention. Clarence’s friend would be constantly asking us if we needed dinner or drinks and there was alot of attention to detail. Being mere strangers with the couple but showered with so much warmth and hospitality from the Groom’s ‘brothers’; with that I feel that Joanne is in good hands.
