Hui Bing’s thoughts: 我願意 (I’m Willing)

Yi Feng and Aline’s groomsmen and bridesmaids were one of the most innovative bunch of ‘brothers’ and ‘sisters’ I have ever seen. In the morning, in addition to the usual ang paos (red packets), the groomsmen were also well-equipped with another gift for the sisters – a leather suitcase filled with bank notes and gold jewellery. All fake of course!

And Aline’s ‘sisters’ gave the groomsmen an interesting task to do. They had to perform a lion dance with the props the sisters prepared – a red bucket as the lion’s head, complete with stick-on eyes and mouth, and household utensils as the music instruments. It was hilarious seeing Yi Feng and the brothers work up a sweat as they performed an enthusiastic lion dance for the sisters.

And finally, Yi Feng had to take bites of 3 slices of bread so that they make up the three words ‘I U’ before he could meet the lovely Aline, who looked splendid and radiant in her wedding gown.

As for the wedding dinner, we performed a mix repertoire of jazz, English pop and Mandopop. It was great performing these songs to their guests, who gave warm applause almost after every song.

Dear Yi Feng and Aline, our warmest congratulations once again. As what Yi Feng said during the customary ceremony, I am sure that your lives together ahead will be ‘wow’! 🙂
