Bevlyn’s thoughts: Love From High In The Sky
When Delia met up with me for her wedding, she was a bit panicky and unsure of her song selection. Her concerns were justified because live music was not meant only for Rane and her, but also for the guests she would be inviting. After discussing with her the general language preferences and music tastes she thought her guests would have, we both agreed that the list she came up with would definitely be suitable.
And true to our beliefs, the songs we delivered were met with appreciative applause. Delia and Rane threw me a few looks of acknowledgement throughout the evening and it warmed my heart that having a live band did make a difference to them. Rane was an extremely shy man, and he made it known to me (as the emcee) from the start that there would be no sabo of any sort, and to help him minimise his time on the stage. Of course I helped him with that, though I didn’t think I could in anyway reduce the limelight he enjoyed with his smart suit and beautiful wife!
It was my first time at the Equinox, and I have to say I was thrilled by the beautiful scenery, despite the hazy weather. Like what Mr Cheong, the humourous JP, said, we all had to thank the couple – because of their wedding celebration, we got the chance to enjoy the breathtaking views. Special thanks also to Rane & Delia for ordering fried rice and cream of mushroom soup for our dinner that evening. The cream of mushroom soup was especially fantastic!

Song To Recommend:
One new song we tried was Eternal Love by PJ and Duncan (aka Ant and Dec). It was a duet by 2 men, but Zhengquan and I successfully brought out the essence of the whole song too. He turned to me after the song and said he had a fun time with the rap!
Wedding Tip:
Engage a live band as a surprise for your family and friends
Compliments from Delia and Rane:
Dear Bevlyn, ZQ and Ein Ein,
Thank you so much for bringing the guest such lovely songs that night. All our guests were caught by surprise as we kept it a secret; not even our parents or siblings knew about the performance.
Everyone was praising the singing and say that it really lightened up the usual wedding dinner!
Once again for bringing us joy and pleasures!
Regards Rane & Delia 6th Oct 2006
