Juliet’s thoughts: Love Me
An unusual day for both Mathew (pianist) and me.
Instead of saying we were somehow both dateless, we were happy to be on a super-grand date with the lovely couple. And somehow it was just wonderful to be there sharing the love through ballads such as Just The Way You Are, A Love That Will Last and I’ll Never Love This Way Again.
They were the same love songs we usually enjoy performing but with an extra tinge of romance in the air. Even Mandarin swing numbers like 我要你的爱 (I Want Your Love) and 夜来香 (Fragrance In The Night) had an effect on the guests.
Of course the highlight of the night for me was Mathew singing Love, Me. It was very refreshing to have the very able pianist try his hand at singing and it certainly won some significant applause! We thank the couple for this wonderful opportunity to be there to bless their wedding with music. 🙂
