Hsin Yeow’s thoughts: 孤单 (Lonely) No More

It was a lovely wedding! Evelyne and Elinus looked radiant that day, and we received positive feedback on our performance. It was my first time singing You Raise Me Up, and Every Woman In The World and I really enjoyed both songs! They are going straight into my list of recommended songs, I tell you.

I remember working closely with Evelyne on the song list. Initially she wasn’t sure if 孤单北半球 (Feeling Lonely In The Northern Hemisphere) could be sung at the wedding, and thought that it was a sad song. But I told her that the even though the two lovers in the song are far apart, their relationship is still strong. The proof is in the last line of the song, one which will give you instant diabetes, “I won’t tire of thinking about you, since you are the keeper of all my dreams.”

The host for the evening was Monique, who not only spoke in Bahasa Indonesia and English, but sang a lovely song entitled Karena Cinta. She was ably accompanied by Jonathan on the piano and Feri on guitar.

Compliments from Evelyne:

As spoken last night, Elinus and I would like to thank you for the job well done during our wedding. Although I felt really overwhelmed that day, I still remember your band’s version of Atlantic Starr’s Always. It was beautiful!

Lots of my guests commented on how well you sang and how you really helped to keep the guests entertained. Thanks also for accommodating my unusual request such as Indonesian song. We will certainly recommend your services to our friends.

We will send you pictures as soon as they are ready. We have the hard copies of the photos but the photographer still keeps the soft copy.

Thanks again and we wish you and your band best of luck.

Keep in touch,
Evelyne
