Hui Bing’s thoughts: A Special Love

I had to learn several new songs for Jeannie and Adrian’s wedding and one of them was ‘A Special Love’ – which the couple has chosen to be their second march-in song. Besides it being a great song, I thought it was also an appropriate choice to describe the tightly-knitted bond that the two had shared.

Like many of the guests present, my tear ducts started flowing when Jeannie and Adrian shared their love journey during their thank-you speech. It was a heartfelt, sincere and deeply-moving speech, that even Adrian, the seemingly macho-looking groom, also broke down in tears while they affirmed their love and commitment to each other.

The couple also chose songs to be dedicated to those that meant to them. The band was more than happy to perform these beautiful songs:

· Someone To Watch Over Me – From Jeannie to Adrian
· You Raise Me Up – From the couple to their parents
· You’ve Got A Friend – For all their friends

Another memorable moment were two sweet, inquisitive young guests – Meagan and Calista – who kept coming up to us to watch Linus and Jonathan work their magic on the piano and saxophone/flute respectively.

Dear Jeannie and Adrian, thanks for having us at your wedding. And I am sure that this is the start to a life filled with love, happiness and fulfillment. Congrats!

Compliments from Jeannie and Adrian:

Hi Hsin Yeow

Thanks to Hui Bing for the lovely entry. The band was really great. We had a few guests asking about the band and commented that having the band created a lovely ambience to the whole wedding. I love the flute and sax and was pleasantly surprised with the piano being available in the ballroom. I was expecting a keyboard to be used actually. Sorry that I didn’t have a chance to speak to Huibing, Jonathan and Linus on that day.

When Huibing was singing the song that I dedicated to Adrian, Adrian wanted us to dance but he shouldn’t have asked me about it coz I definitely will say no… Anyway the only regret we had was we didn’t have a chance to sit down throughout the wedding and hear the lovely songs and enjoy the great food. I’m now waiting for the whole video and hope it captured the night’s event and the feel as it was.

Happy New Year to you all at A Little Dream. Adrian and the wedding was definitely a dream of mine that has come true.

Regards
Jeannie & Adrian
