Hui Bing’s Thoughts: One Hundred Ways
Edison and Shufang’s wedding was a simple and elegant affair held in the beautiful Straits Room of Fullerton Hotel. Tucked away on the 4th storey of the hotel, it was a great venue for small, cosy weddings. I love how its majestic chandeliers, warm lighting, historic architecture really puts one in the mood for a great evening of food, conversation and of course, music.
Junxiong and I enjoyed singing the songs that Edison and Shufang have requested that evening, from jazz to pop to evergreen classics. The couple had dedicated a number of these songs to the groups of people that matter in their lives – friends, brothers and sisters, relatives and their parents. It was great performing with the talented duo of James and Ivan – James who is able to jazz-up (or should I say funk-up) even the simplest of ballads and Ivan is like a younger version of the renowned saxophonist Kenny G.
I was tickled when Edison and Shufang thanked a certain type of fish during their wedding. Or rather, it was a couple whom they affectionately call ‘Mr and Mrs Goldfish’ as they are always seen together in pairs. This couple has played a pivotal role in their love journey as it has inspired them to get married and set up a family on their own.
I was also touched by Edison and Shufang’s gesture to present gifts to each other’s parents to thank them for welcoming them into their families. What a meaningful and heartwarming way to acknowledge their parents on this special occasion.
Dear Edison and Shufang, congratulations and I am sure that you guys will be another sweet and loving pair of ‘goldfish’!

Compliments from Edison and Shu Fang:
Hi Hsin Yeow,
Many thanks to you and your team for a wonderful show last Saturday. The performance was highly impressive and the band on show that day received many plaudits from the wedding guests present, so be prepared for more business coming your way very soon. 🙂
Special thanks to Junxiong and Huibing, both of whom were very kind in acceding to all our requests on the actual day, not to mention the fact that they had to learn new songs specially for the event. Nonetheless, the ease with which they handled the songs and their impeccable delivery goes to show both of them are highly talented and versatile singers.
Our thanks too to the other musicians on show that day; the combination of both the pianist and saxophonist definitely added more gloss and lustre to the onstage performance, and contributed to the overall ambience on the night itself.
Once again, thanks again and kudos to all of you! I am sure ‘A Little Dream’ is well on its way to fulfilling the dreams of all the wedding couples out there, just as you have helped in ours! Cheers!
