Matthew’s thoughts: So Nice

Not just another Sunday lunch wedding – it was held at Fullerton’s Straits Room, a small 18-table capacity room that has windows which allows the hotel’s skylight to flow in. Very pretty.

Anyway, it was an intimate setting because they only had about 8 tables, which they split into about 4 on each side. Here’s the special part, the couple had their VERY OWN TABLE FOR TWO at the foot of the stage! Too bad couples can’t really enjoy the entire lunch, as they spent most of their time mingling with their guests.

Johnny and Jennifer were seated in a separate table in the middle of the ballroom. It’s like having a date at your wedding 🙂

Each table was named after a romantic movie, from ‘Love Actually’, to ‘Music & Lyrics’. How ingenious!

But this cool couple skipped the second-march-in part, and went straight to the speech right after their champagne pouring sequence.

But fortunately, it seems from their feedback that they were enjoying our music (yay!) The hotel provided a very nice upright grand piano (Yamaha U5) that was really all you need to fill the room with its sound (that’s how small the room was – it’s not exactly Suntec Convention Centre.)

Congratulations, Johnny and Jennifer!

Hi there,

Personally, we think that Hui Bing sang beautifully and really delivered the mood that we both wanted for our wedding. We love how her voice and together with Matthew on the piano, delivered the most romantic and light hearted mood for our wedding lunch.

Some of our guests thought that we were playing from a CD 🙂 . Some guests felt that they were gentle and soft, but that’s what exactly we wanted!

Although some of our guests may be slower to warm up and were not as responsive as expected, they still enjoy themselves tremendously with our songs selection and the performance of the duet.

Thanks for much for making our wedding event a sweet and romantic one.
