Hui Bing’s Thoughts: You and Me
I think Fullerton Hotel is one of the nicest hotels around, with its regal architecture and décor, as well as its rich history. More info at this link. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Fullerton_Hotel_Singapore).
Tanny and Peng Wai’s wedding was held in the main ballroom. I haven’t performed there in a while, and I almost forgot how beautiful the ballroom was, with its tall ceilings and long staircase leading straight to the stage. Perfect for a wedding march-in. 🙂
Tanny and Peng Wai have written short speeches for the people who matter to them. We were more than happy to read out, translate and sing the songs which accompany the dedications. I was particularly touched by these messages for their parents and siblings:
“For parents: We don’t always show it but you know that we appreciate how much you have helped me with our lives, love, and career and given us all of the things that have gotten us here.
For siblings: Because of you, we learned to share. We learned to share our toys, our clothes, our bedroom, and our friends. We even learned to share our
genes – and we not talking Levi’s. We believe that in having to share most of our lives with someone, there was no one better than our siblings.”
It was great performing with Wilson, who does an almost perfect imitation of Emil Chau on the song 朋友 (Friends).
Our congratulations once again to Tanny and Peng Wai! Thank you for having us at your beautiful lunch reception.
