Ariel’s thoughts: Love, Me
This was a special night for Chern Ann and Jolene, a loving couple who met each other in NTU and were long-time friends before love blossomed about six years ago. I think they have the formula for a lasting marriage as they had many things in common, including a love for buffets (though I could not tell from Jolene’s hour-glass figure!), and even work in the same company, Schneider Electric!
We were engaged by the couple to perform some timeless classics like When I Fall In Love, 我只在乎你 (You’re the Only One who Matters), Can’t Take My Eyes Off You and even popular ballads such as Truly Madly, Deeply and Nothing’s Gonna Change My Love.
I personally felt that the couple definitely made wise song choices, which resonated with their guests who would spontaneously nod along with the melodic lines. The band was delighted to receive much applause and encouragement that night. One lady even approached Sofyan to dedicate Love, Me to the wedding couple, and I must say Sofyan stole the limelight with his smooth velvety vocals. Even the kids at a table near our stage would gather around us during our breaks and were clearly drawn to Sofyan!
We would like to thank Chern Ann and Jolene for giving the opportunity to share in their joyous occasion and we wish them a lifetime of blessings and marital bliss!
