Imelda’s thoughts:
When I first entered the ballroom in this quaint, retro-looking hotel, I was greeted by Jerome’s broad grin… and cute little eyes that disappeared into a slit when he smiled. It was the first time we sang together but he’s a real joy to work with, crazy sense of humour and very easy going.
As we chatted, we were later joined in by Jun Jun, the groom’s smiley sister, who exclaimed how happy she was to have us sing the walk-in songs for her brother and sis-in-law. She also made sure we were well taken care of and had everything put in order for our performance set-up.
Jun Yuan was a little nervous when we first greeted him. Understandably, that was because he was getting ready to go on stage to rehearse his “Thank-You” speech. It was really very heartwarming to see him making the effort and he admitted that he actually had stage fright, thus the need for the practice run.
During the dinner, everything turned out as perfect as it could possibly be. Jammy looked beautiful in person as well as in her pre-wedding shots, such a photogenic bride with a lovely bright smile.
Recalling this happy celebration, what I really remember is how smiley everyone was. Seriously, everyone was all smiles! (except the banquet manager…hehe… who for some reason seemed rather stern). The guests at the table right in front of us were smiling at us the entire time, and clapped for almost every song we sang.
I noticed a lady smiling every time she turned to admire Lim Hui’s elegant playing. Jun Yuan’s family, as you can see from the picture, had their signature family smile turned on the entire evening. And as usual for every performance I’ve had with Spencer so far, he always meets an excited fan who remembers him from his heydays in his famous band.
This was another enjoyable wedding gig with my mates from A Little Dream!
