Hsin Yeow’s thoughts: Shawa Shawa
I couldn’t have summed up the evening more effectively than Ian, who said, “It was an unbelievably fun night for me!”
It was for the band too. Natalie and Kugan’s wedding marked many firsts for us. The first Bollywood-themed wedding, for one. And the sight of more than twenty guests forming a Conga line and dancing to this infectious tune: Shawa Shawa!
Another memorable moment was Kugan’s elegant speech. He likened marrying Natalie to hitting the jackpot. He also said this:
Being her friend was a choice, but
Falling in love was – totally out of my control!
Natalie and Kugan also prepared a touching tribute to their parents – dozens of yellowed photos of them thoughtfully compiled together in a photo slideshow.
Serene, Ian, Niq and I had such fun singing that it didn’t seem like work at all. Especially when the couple made sure we included many dance tracks into the repertoire. Ian pulled out his Disco hat, and made songs like Love In The First Degree come alive with his magnificent playing skills. Niq’s masterful playing on the drum set made us want to dance!
Congratulations Natalie and Kugan! We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly at your wedding. May love and joy be present every day of your lives together!
