Hsin Yeow’s thoughts: A Love That Will Last

In Joanne’s words, “Looking back, perhaps it was all in the Lord’s great big plan for us to go through this long and tiring journey in order for both of us to appreciate each other better.”

Joanne and Shaun worked in the same company, but sparks didn’t fly because they had different groups of friends. Sure, they met a couple of times at a pub for drinks after work. Still, they never had a proper meal together until Joanne invited Shaun out for lunch one day. Life threw them a few more curveballs before they realised they were meant to be together.

Joanne summed it up nicely, “I guess like they say, we should never go against the Big Fellow up there.”

Eleanor and Ian had a blast performing for Shaun and Joanne. They began with a short performance at the solemnisation ceremony, before moving into the grand ballroom of Mandarin Oriental for the banquet.

Perhaps the wedding invitation said, “chic” under dress code, because the most of the guests came wearing the non-traditional wedding colour of black. They were also intent on having a good time, because the tap kept flowing and the mood got progressively more buoyant as the night went on.

Shaun was especially appreciative of the band’s performance. He went over to Eleanor and said, “I really like your low, sensual voice! Our wedding wouldn’t have been the same without you!”
