Bevlyn’s Thoughts: I Want To Spend My Lifetime Loving You
The 1st wedding I sang for 2009 – lunch wedding of Iris and Richard!
Iris had a very good idea of how she wanted her 2 march-in to be.That was excellent, because I was more than happy to follow through on her dream. She emailed me the exact timings of the songs she had wanted my band to start performing for the 2 march-ins, which were ‘I want to spend my lifetime loving you’, and ‘爱是永恒 (Love Is Eternal)’. Though the former is a duet, it can be sung (like some other duets) as a solo as well.
And guess what – it was actually my first time performing 爱是永恒 (Love Is Eternal) even though it’s already a few years old! And I love singing it 🙂
I tried to suss out the coordinators on the groom Richard, to see if he would dare to spring a song for Iris. I was told that if anyone out of the 2 were to sing in public, it would more probably be Iris! When I met the couple, I instantly knew what the coordinators meant. Iris was very outspoken, sharing with me her wedding preparations while Richard was more reserved; well I guess that’s what we call “opposites attract”!
It was some time since I have Lim Hui and James performing together with me, and we relished the opportunity to jam together again. It was also a pleasant surprise to bump into Willy Foo, the talented photographer behind Live!Studio. I thought it was cool to have a system which allows your wedding guests to send in congratulatory sms to be reflected on the big screen.
