Hsin Yeow’s thoughts: 梁山伯与茱丽叶 (Lian Shan Bo And Juliet)
Watching Eddie and Agnes’ wedding video was akin to going back in time and re-living the significant moments of an enduring and loving relationship.
The first date, first movie (there was a photo of the movie stub!), proposal…all these were documented and shown in the video. We could also see the subtle differences in Eddie’s -ahem- proportions. His emcee couldn’t help but tease Eddie for looking different from his slimmer, younger days. Eddie took it in his stride, so kudos to him!
One of the highlights of the wedding was certainly Eddie’s ‘impromptu’ performance of Just The Way You Are. Eddie agreed without much hesitation to serenade Agnes, and he did a great job with it. I only learnt later that he was in his junior college choir, so he was used to singing in front of a big crowd.
I also got his secondary school friend, Qianchou, to sing a duet with Imelda. The song was 梁山伯与茱丽叶 (Lian Shan Bo And Juliet), and Qianchou sang it really well, hitting all the high notes with ease.
Imelda, Richard, James and I really enjoyed the songs Eddie and Agnes picked. The enthusiastic response from the audience was also every encouraging, and we ended the night on a high.
Congratulations, Eddie and Agnes! We had a great time performing at your wedding; thank you for the privilege.

Compliments:
Hi Hsin Yeow,
Thanks for the email. I am sorry Agnes and I didn’t really get a chance to thank you and the rest of the band for adding so much colour to our wedding. If we did, then it was the alcohol talking coz we don’t really remember it, hahaha.
But anyway, sincerely thank you for putting up such a great performance. I used to be in choir during my VJC days so I fully grasped the concept of a live band and what wonders it could do to lighten the atmosphere of a wedding dinner. Words can’t really describe the gratitude we have for A Little Dream adding so much joy to our wedding, seriously. I dare say, arguably it was one of the best decisions that we made for our wedding and we would fully endorse you guys (which we already did by the way, hope you get some calls from friends getting married soon) to other friends and colleagues.
For some serious feedback, I think the songs were all well sung, really. A lot of the older generation especially my relatives loved the selection of classic oldies which thankfully paid off for me for deviating from a strictly jazz theme which I was pursuing.
I guess as a feedback, perhaps a longer song list would be good? Additionally, I think increasingly you would be approached by young couples who would deviate from classic oldies and jazz for more modern songs which I noticed was a bit lacking. But other than that, I too understand that learning the songs is easy given the musical background that you guys have so this shouldn’t be much of a problem for you guys.
Lastly, as wedding singers, I would once again reiterate that your job is undeniably important during a wedding and I thank you for putting your heart into your performance during our wedding. If I do hear you guys again at any weddings that I attend, I will be sure to go up to you and shake your hand for a job well done. Coz I think you guys are an underrated yet important bunch.
Thank you once again for gracing our wedding with your presence. Will send you some photos when they are ready. Additionally, if you have any feedback as well on our wedding, please let us know as we are actively sourcing for them from our friends!
