ShiLi & Adi’s thoughts: Just You And Me
Tricia and Kenny have known each other for more than a decade since their college days, it was obvious that they were just so made for each other. It was a Saturday afternoon lunch banquet and we were absolutely psyched to play for their wedding!
To begin, this couple definitely knows how to balance their repertoire to suit the taste of their guests with an equal selection of old classics and new pop acoustic, guitar-driven songs. We’re glad to have delivered the songs that were selected from the start with a spin of our “ShiLi & Adi” flavour twisting the guitar-driven songs with Adi’s touch on the keyboards. Judging from the feedback given by the couple and the guests, they liked it very much as they sung and snapped their fingers along with us.
As we played throughout the lunch, Tricia and Kenny had chosen to dole out all formalities and mingle with their guests right from the start. It was indeed a cozy affair at this yellow and white wedding themed lunch, which so happened to be the color that we were dressed in! We usually match our attire to suit the couple’s themes but in this instance, it was just pure coincidence!
When Tricia returned to the ballroom for her 2nd March-in, she completely took our breath away in her red Kebaya and an exquisite traditional green sarong. Kenny showed his sweet spontaneity by singing Tricia, “A Promise I Make” at the end of his groom speech, a song close to their hearts as it was their ROM song, accompanied by Adi’s adroit hands on the keyboard, bringing the whole ceremony to its romantic, surprise climax.
