Hsin Yeow’s thoughts: Can’t Smile Without You

“Dear Hsin Yeow,

Thanks for the prompt reply. Appreciate it. =)

I would like to confirm a 2-piece band (most likely a singer and a guitarist) for the 16 August 2009, Sunday. I understand that this is quite a last minute notice but I have a good reason(or excuse) for it!

I’m meaning this to be a surprise for the groom. We were initially very keen on the idea of having a live band for the event, but eventually decided against it due to the tight budget constraint. However, after careful considerations, I figured that it’s all worth it!

Hope to hear from you soon!

Thanks & Regards,
Shirley”

Shirley’s sweet gesture brought a smile to my face. Eleanor told me Chin Ann was very pleasantly surprised by the presence of the band. The guests also enjoyed the selection of songs, including the two recommended songs.

Even though I’ll Follow You Into The Dark and Flightless Bird were not songs Eleanor would normally sing, she learnt both as she fell in love with their melodies.

A few days after the wedding, Shirley had this to say:

“Hey Hsin Yeow, Eleanor was great! 🙂 Thanks for your help!”

Shirley, you’re more than welcome. Thank you so much for planning this beautiful surprise.

Band: Eleanor, Feri

Song To Recommend:

I’ll Follow You Into The Dark – Love, love, love this song. The first line of this song just goes straight into the heart of the matter.
Flightless Bird, Amercian Mouth – This song has a beautiful melody, but you need a Literature degree to decipher what the lyrics mean.
