Bevlyn’s Thoughts: 不老的传说 (Eternal Story)
We first got to know David when he enthusiastically stepped up to the band after our performance at Ying Ying and Jonaven‘s wedding in 2007. We were taken aback (because Singaporean audience are seldom warm and enthusiastic), but very happy to get to know David and knew about his love for live music. We saw him again a month later when he went down to one of the wedding fairs we did at Marina Square. So to perform at his wedding 2 years down the road, I think we have really come full circle 🙂
The wedding was definitely a lively one, not only due to the live music by the live band, but also by the meticulous and thoughtful planning on David’s part. After showing the guests a photo montage of the couple’s childhood photos, David arranged for me to first sing “How Do I Live” before we performed “天天夜夜 (Every Day Every Night)“, which cued the grand entrance of David and Diana into the ballroom.
And for most couples who got to know each other because of common friends, I thought it important to acknowledge their ‘match-makers’. David and Diana got to know each other due to their colleagues Adeline and Kelvin and things picked up swiftly from there as they shared many common interests (eg. live music and marketing and management theories and strategies amongst others). They officially became steads on 31 Mar 07, and 2 years later, they solemnised the marriage on 31 Mar 09.
The couple also shared a video featuring their close friends giving their best wishes, which is definitely a good keepsake in many years to come. After the 2nd march-in, David sprung a surprise on Diana – he had bought a diamond pendant for his bride, a very thoughtful gesture, in my humble opinion. He put on the necklace for Diana, and announced that he would next like to serenade his bride with a song ‘Can’t Take My Eyes Off You’. A song which speaks a thousand words, from the days of doing OT in office when they first got to know each other…
David’s rendition was nothing short of spectacular. Diana, you are such a lucky gal! 🙂
Thank you David and Diana for getting us to be a part of your wedding celebration, we will remember this wedding in many years to come. We wish you and Diana every little joy in life!

Compliments from David & Diana:
We wanted the guests to share our joy, get to eat some really good food, and enjoy the music that was dedicated for them. We have done it!! Thanks to your help, we managed to entertain our guests to no end. They appreciated the entire wedding, as the value was far more well worthy than what they have paid for in their Ang Pao $$ (^_^)
Perhaps, wedding banquets should not be a dull event with the usual march-ins, doing yum seng toasting, and having the food.. A Little Dream, in my opinion, has changed the way how weddings are being carried out in contemporary times. Through the effects of Bevlyn and A Little Dream, it’s really becoming a trend and a must to engage a band of wedding singers to perform in today’s wedding banquets to entertain the guests.
Congratulations! I am sure A Little Dream would continue to be a popular name and an ever successful band. You are the reason why I felt in love with attending wedding banquets – cause’ I may have a chance to see you guys perform! (I used to complain because of the ‘red bomb’)
For the performers:
Bev, I have 100% confidence that you will make my wedding a success! I want nobody nobody but U!! Your vocals have touched the hearts of my guests, and I am both thankful and appreciative. I also have a few guests who were so impressed by Jerome’s ‘Jacky Cheung alike’ vocal, they were asking me for his contact for future functions to sing Chinese/Canto songs!!
Your light-hearted way of emceeing and thoughtfulness, coupled with Jerome’s funny and delightful speeches, have certainly made my wedding lunch a great and unforgettable event.
Also, I am so glad Ein was there to back me up when I was singing “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You”. She has been a terrific keyboardist and I certainly anticipate to see her in other weddings and youtube videos 😉 & not forgetting Lim Hui and her new electric violin which makes it’s debut in my wedding lunch!! Woah~I am so honored!!
With you, Ein, Jerome & Lim Hui on the stage, what else can I ask for? You guys should go forth to Taiwan and kick some asses in Xing Guang Da Dao!!
Best Wishes,
David & Diana
