Hui Bing’s thoughts: Love Song

It was an unconventional Valentine’s Day for Jixiang and I this year, as we decided to celebrate it together with Andy and Deborah at their wedding at Keppel Club. What was also memorable for us was the repertoire of songs which the couple has chosen – interesting and very wide, from the usual wedding ballads, to songs that are usually sung in a pub such as Love Song, Chasing Cars and Angels And Devils. Though some of the lyrics may not be entirely suitable, the uptempo songs definitely enlivened up the mood of the wedding.

Also adding to the ambience was the humorous speeches by their close friends Mark and Jean, who shared interesting anecdotes about the couple. You can tell that the newly-weds have a closely-knitted network of friends from all around the world.

Another highlight of the evening was Andy and Deb’s animation clip. Instead of the usual love journey or marriage proposal, it featured a fictitious story of how an evil Demon Cupid had tried to break up the couple by capturing Deborah back to its castle. Of course, Andy has to save his beloved love, but he was badly defeated by the powerful Demon Cupid. Fortunately, a kiss from Deborah revived him and he successfully overpowered the demon. Needless to say, they lived happily ever after.

Congrats, Andy and Deborah!

Hi Huibing,

Thank you and Ji Xiang for that memorable night!

Sorry too for not being able to even chat with you. Your performance was fantastic and our guests really enjoyed themselves that night.

Thanks more importantly for accommodating to our song selection even though at first some songs were not recommended heh =0! We both felt the two of you did a great job! Kudos to you both!

Hugs,
