Jo’s thoughts: 幸福的女人 (Happy Lady)

The lovely Waye and Mike were wed at the Regent Hotel, on the 23rd of Nov, 2008…to the congratulations of so many happy guests that the attendees spilled from the main hall into the charming hotel lobby, where they were served a sumptuous bufet.

Every last detail spoke of the intricate gorgeousness of the event, from the delicate feather adornments on Waye’s train and the bridesmaids’ wrists, to white and pink balloons framing the stage, to the highly personal songs chosen by the couple to commemorate the event.

For example, Take Me To Your World, and Kimi to Itsumademo….classics from completely different continents and genres (one a country song by Tammy Wynette, the other an old ballad by a suave Japanese crooner), as part of the personal music behind Mike and Waye’s lives and romance.

Adding to the personal touch was a beautiful song personally sung by Waye’s mother to wish the newlyweds well on their marital journey.

Windson and I were very happy to be part of this lovely night as the vocalists for the event, accompanied by the incredibly talented trio of James on keyboard, Sebastian on guitar and Mario on bass, and we wish the beautiful couple all the very best for the rest of their blissful future together!
