Hsin Yeow’s thoughts: 爱是永恒 (Love Is Eternal)
Performing at the Island Ballroom of the Shangri-La always gives me the sense of occasion. The plush decor, the vastness of the ballroom and the attentiveness of the staff are all winning factors for me.
Having just returned from a trip overseas, I was particularly excited to perform again. Jessica and Vincent’s wedding gave me the opportunity to sing with Bevlyn and Ein Ein, and I knew I was in for a treat.
Bevlyn’s honeyed pipes made technically difficult songs like For You I Will sound like a breeze, while Ein Ein’s soft caressing of the keys infused each tune with warmth and colour.
Jessica and Vincent were radiant that night, and I particularly loved how Jessica dedicated some songs to specific members of the audience, starting with her husband Vincent of course.
