Kelvin met Sharon under the most peculiar circumstance – he was her driving instructor 11 years ago. The couple had Sharon’s sister Esther to thank – the driving centre’s system was down the day she passed the test, so Sharon had to make a special trip down another day to collect her sister’s licence on her behalf. And as fate would have it, that was when Sharon and Kelvin met each other again!
When asked to describe the wedding proposal, here is Sharon in her own words:
”BORING. hahahaha ok i kinda burst my own proposal because i was too excited to see my proposal ring. so i just took it and open it and wear it in the car!!! then guys being guys just .. ok lor you wear liao then no need to propose anymore 🙁 “
Tien Court has a super long aisle, and the couple even had the option to march in from the left and the right door!
What was so special about this wedding was the thank you video clip the couple pre-recorded for their family members and friends. In particular Kelvin paid his tributes to his father who has passed on, and there were not many dry eyes by the end of the video. Kudos to Mary for keeping her composure for the emceeing!
Emerald, Sharon’s niece, did a special performance with “All Of Me” (John Legends) as a wedding dedication
