Bevlyn’s thoughts: You Needed Me
This giant croquenbouche is one which caught my eye when I walked into the ballroom. I’ve seen a few others in weddings before, but I have to say this is the biggest! Wilson told me later on that this was actually part of the package by Sheraton Towers. Oh well, I’m sure the guests for that evening were delighted to have something new to try for their dessert!
One of the highlights of the wedding was the 1st dish fanfare – Wilson and Koonli liked the song “Le Festin”, which is taken off the soundtrack of Ratatouille, and they prepared a video of the animation to be played during the 1st dish presentation. Ein Ein and I were given the challenge to perform the song ‘live’ in concurrence with the video! Among all the French songs I’ve sung for weddings, I have to say this is my current favourite, especially when it’s sung by one of my French idols, Camille 🙂
The guests were perfect audience to perform to – they gave us applause almost after every song. One of them even came up to us and say, “Good job!” after the performance. We were indeed humbled.
Other songs I really enjoyed singing:
Songs to Recommend:
Hands To Heaven: This song is not really that suitable to perform at a wedding, but Wilson loves it very much, so well well, that’s all that matters if he doesn’t mind. And it’s a very great classic!
I Live My Life For You: I’m a fan of Firehouse, and you just might become one if you take the time to listen to this excellent love song.
Secret Garden: I love this song by Bruce Springsteen, which speaks of the secret place a woman holds sacred from her man. Despite all of Ein Ein’s efforts, she could not convince me to do the voiceover for the part: “You…complete me..”, or “Shut up, just shut up… you had me at hello…you had me at hello…”, or “I love him, I love him! I love him! I love him!”
Thank you Wilson & Koonli for inviting us to perform at your wedding. We’re happy that the live music had made a difference to your wedding celebration. Hope to see two of you again at other weddings soon!

Thanks for the wonderful performance on my wedding day.
Having a live band is really different from playing from records..its so wonderful and nice. A lot of our colleagues and friends approached us after the wedding and said you are one of our friends…
We are so impressed with you and we are introducing you to our friends who are getting married too……
Hope you enjoyed the night as well… You were very pretty that day!
